DESCRIPTION:Michelangelo Buonarroti left over half of his marble sculptures—some 26 of his 44 works\, ranging from his very first carving to his last—in various unfinished states (non-finito). Carolina Mangone of Princeton University will discuss the problem and appeal of the non-finito\, focusing on a handful of Michelangelo’s sculptures and their relationship to the preparatory\narts of drawing and modeling.
