In the event of inclement weather (snow, ice, etc.), the closing policy at Dorothea’s House is the following:
On weekdays (Monday through Friday) Dorothea’s House will follow Princeton Public Schools. To learn if Princeton schools are closed or delayed on a given day, please call 609-806-4202 to hear a recorded message or go to princetonk12.org. If Princeton schools are closed, Dorothea’s House is closed. However, if Princeton schools have a delayed opening, Dorothea’s House classes will be held at their regular times, unless your teacher notifies you.
On Saturdays the decision to close will be made after consulting the teachers either on Friday evening or early Saturday morning. If we do close, students will receive an email before 8:00am on Saturday morning. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE FOR CLASS BEFORE CHECKING YOUR EMAIL.
All canceled classes will be made up at the end of the semester.
PARKING: We do not recommend parking along the fence at Dorothea’s House. It is extremely difficult for students to back out when cars are parked along the fence, especially if there is snow on the ground. We want to prevent cars from being hit. If there are no more parking spots, you have permission to park next door at the YMCA. Please display your parking permit on the dashboard. Thank you!
